David Bond. Product designer. Fifteen years, still curious.

I've spent my career doing a bit of everything at small and mid-size startups. If you need a senior designer who can take a problem and run with it, that's where I thrive.

"I actually can't say it too many times - every time I work on something that David has spec'ed, I am delighted by the thoroughness and clarity with which he creates them. I genuinely look forward to reading them. He thinks through everything and makes it readable and clear enough for someone with an engineering point of view to understand and act on."

About me

Outside of work, I geek out over film scores, Frasier re-runs, and cooking at home (pan-fried shallots are the secret to the best burgers). I write orchestra music for fun, have a deep love for factory building video games (Satisfactory, Factorio, and Shapez), and I'm on a quest to find the best biscuits and gravy in Seattle.

Before being a product designer I was a photojournalist, and I've never quite turned off the habit of looking for the story in ordinary scenes. These days that instinct mostly gets pointed at cities: I'm a major public transit nerd, and my wife and I are working our way through all of the Olmsted Walks in Seattle over the past few summers. We're a little over halfway, and it's been the best way to see corners of the city we'd otherwise drive right past.
